In alignment with the Ministry of Health Level Two Teaching Hospital Standards (February 2022) and the Director General's Leadership Retreat directives (November 2023), Kabgayi level two teaching hospital is committed to strengthening research capacity and improving evidence-based decision-making. Research and Quality Improvement (QI) initiatives are essential to improving service delivery, patient safety, and health outcomes. This internal research grant programme aims to empower hospital staff and affiliated students to conduct locally-led research that addresses identified departmental challenges and contributes to institutional excellence.
